|Betty Chesser||0:31:29||23.63||New Women's Course Record|
A night full of racing and casualties. We had 30 people start the ride and only 25 finish due to some unfortunate flats and a wreck. The corner turning onto Pit Road took it's vengeance out on Steve Weber but he dusted himself off and assessed the damage and decided to valiantly ride on in the face of pain and blood to finish his race. We all tip our hat to you sir, and we hope you recover soon to come back for redemption. We had two people ride our 40K long course, Kyle May finished first with a 58:57 @ 25.24 mph and Scott Robinson made a debut with a 1:03:22 @ 23.48. In the 20K course, We had 3 PR's and a new womens course record. Betty Chesser rode a 31:29 @ 23.63 mph to beat her own record for yet another week. Great job Betty!!!! Alan Porter rode a new PR with a 36:10 @ 20.57 mph, Jay Mayberry rode a 37:28 @ 19.86 mph and John Zierke rode a 38:49 @ 19.17 mph. Unfortunately, we did have some punctures out there and some of the other riders did stop to help out and we appreciate there stopping to help their fellow riders and sacrifice their times. We want to thank the timers for all their hard work and thank you for supporting the DTTS.
