|Lincoln Homestead Time Trial - July 6, 2005|
An historic day as we have our first charter member in the women's sub-33 club. Anna Stadler was presented with the coveted pink shirt after blazing to a 32:22@23mph last night. Although the result is not without controversy as she refused to provide the appropriate sample to interim head timer, Amanda Shils post race. Shy bladder withstanding, congratulations to Anna. Twenty-four other riders joined Anna last night and several rode to PR's in the light north breeze and cooler temps. Jeff Schroetlin rode a 26:email@example.com in the 20K. A quick race report on Jeff. Two weeks ago he won the pro-1-2 crit at Webster Groves by lapping the field. Twice. Then last weekend he won the Columbia Cup road race and time trial. Jeff attributes his racing success to the Wednesday Night TT stating, "I owe everything to Eric and the TT series. I only hope I can properly repay him someday as he's made me what I am today." Couldn't have said it better myself, and don't worry, Jeff, you'll get your chance at repayment in full, plus interest. Kyle May led home the seven 40K riders in 57:firstname.lastname@example.org. Our raffle winner was Patrick Tharp. Last night was also Agri-Fab huggy night. Each rider received a handsome, yet functional beverage holder compliments Agri-Fab Company of Sullivan, manufacturer of quality lawn care products ranging from lawn carts to mowers and everything in between. Next time you need to purchase lawn equipment, please visit their website at www.agri-fab.com. They also employ a lot of fast bike riders so check the classifieds for job openings. Our timers last night were Amanda Shils, Donna May and Sara soon-to-be Smith, a/k/a The Triplets of Belleville. The triplets did a wonderful job and their finish line rendition of "Stop in the Name of Love" brought the crowd to their knees. Thanks for supporting the TT series.
