Fender Fun - When the day's forecast calls for scattered mud showers and you have no fender in sight, and can't come by to pickup one, here's an easy and fun solution: Longitudinally cut in half a large plastic Gatorade bottle. These two pieces are now your front fender. Using big zip-ties, attach one piece facing forward off your fork crown and the other facing backwards, or on the middle of your down tube. Shape the plastic as needed and remove any sharp points for safety (sometimes it's easier to shape before the fenders are zip-tied on). You can even style out your handcrafted fender with stickers!
